The brief was to create a calendar and then I opted for the theme of control. I decided to criticise it, directing the design towards entropy, chaos and lack of control.
Time is the most uncontrollable thing and to count it is the only way to 'controle' it. We live our lives under the power of several institutions such as banks, schools, prisons, hospitals, and so on.
Time is the most uncontrollable thing and to count it is the only way to 'controle' it. We live our lives under the power of several institutions such as banks, schools, prisons, hospitals, and so on.
To emphasize the criticism, I made a random deconstruction of prints that we receive from these institutions on a daily basis. The cover is mimicking a bank calendar, quite neutral and formal, providing a false sense of control and that differs from the content of the calendar itself. It constitutes a paradox between control and lack of control.
